Jehovah's jealousy reflects his insecurity

The God Jehovah's commandment to "...have no other gods before me..." clearly implies belief in the existence of other gods. Nowhere in the scriptures as far as I am aware is there an inarguable, explicit statement to the effect that there is only one god, and that there are not many gods.
